When Tim Hilmo started Air Conditioning Doctors in 1987, the HVAC business was simpler. Systems were less complex, refrigerants were different, and you could fix most problems with a few tools and good instincts. But one thing hasn't changed in 38 years: the way we treat people.
Tim and his brother Matt built this company on a straightforward idea — show up when you say you will, tell customers the truth about what their system needs, and charge a fair price. No upselling, no scare tactics, no surprise bills.
Today, Air Conditioning Doctors of America serves families and businesses across 11 Georgia counties from our home base in Auburn. We've installed thousands of systems, repaired even more, and built relationships with customers who have been with us for over a decade. Some of our earliest clients still call us every year for their seasonal tune-ups.

Tim founded Air Conditioning Doctors in 1987 and has been hands-on with the business ever since. He personally handles consultations, oversees installations, and still gets out in the field regularly. Tim is known for his straightforward approach — he'll tell you exactly what's going on with your system and give you honest options.

Matt Hilmo
Matt brings the same family commitment to every job. He works closely with commercial clients, maintaining long-term relationships with businesses, clinics, and restaurants across the service area.
