HVAC Equipment, Brands & Efficiency Ratings
Understanding your options so you can make the right investment for your home or business.
Understanding SEER2 Ratings
SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio, and it works a lot like MPG for your car. The higher the SEER number, the more efficiently your system uses energy — which means lower electricity bills.
Here's the simple version: SEER measures how much cooling your equipment delivers for every dollar spent on electricity. A higher number doesn't mean more cooling — it means less energy wasted to produce the same amount of cooling. Think of it like two cars making the same trip, but one uses half the gas.
As of January 2023, the industry switched to SEER2, an updated testing standard that uses more realistic conditions to measure efficiency. The numbers are slightly different, but the concept is the same — higher is better.
For the Southeast (including Georgia), the minimum efficiency for new equipment is 14.3 SEER2. We carry systems ranging from 14 SEER all the way up to 20+ SEER. The right choice depends on your budget, how long you plan to stay in your home, and how much you want to save on monthly energy costs. We'll walk you through the math so you can see exactly what each option costs upfront versus what it saves over time.
Equipment We Install
We install and service all types of residential and commercial HVAC equipment — sized and configured for your specific space.
AC Systems
Central air conditioning systems from 14 SEER to 20+ SEER, including traditional split systems with outdoor condensers and indoor evaporator coils. We also install ductless mini-split systems for room additions, garages, and homes without existing ductwork. Available in R-410A refrigerant (the current standard).
Furnaces
Gas furnaces ranging from 80% to 90%+ efficiency, with various gas control and blower options to match your home's heating needs. We also install electric furnaces for homes without natural gas access. Higher-efficiency models cost more upfront but can significantly reduce winter heating bills.
Heat Pumps
Heat pumps provide both heating and cooling from a single system, making them an efficient choice for Georgia's moderate climate. They work by transferring heat rather than generating it, which uses less energy. Available in air-source and ductless configurations with SEER ratings from 14 to 20+.
Packaged Units
All-in-one systems that sit on the roof or a concrete pad beside your building. Common in commercial properties and some residential setups where indoor space is limited. Available in gas/electric and all-electric configurations. We install, repair, and maintain all packaged unit brands.
Brands We Service
We're not locked into one manufacturer, which means we recommend equipment based on what's right for your situation — not based on who's paying us a commission.
We install and service all makes and models of HVAC equipment available in the United States, including:
Warranty Protection
A new HVAC system is a significant investment, and warranty coverage matters. Here's what you should know about how warranties work and what we offer.
