HVAC Preventive Maintenance Plans — PHD Service

Bi-annual tune-ups, priority service, and repair discounts starting at just $147/year. Protect your system and your wallet.

What Is a PHD Service Plan?

PHD stands for Preventive HVAC Declaration — it's our commitment to keeping your heating and cooling system running right, year after year. When you sign up for a PHD plan, you're not just buying tune-ups. You're getting a complete maintenance program that protects your equipment, saves you money, and gives you peace of mind.

Here's what every PHD plan includes:

Bi-Annual Tune-Ups
Two pre-season visits each year — one in spring to prep your AC and one in fall to prep your heating system. We catch problems before they become emergencies.
Priority Emergency Service
PHD members jump to the front of the line for service calls, including nights, weekends, and holidays. When your system goes down in July, you won't be waiting days for help.
Repair & Parts Discounts
15% discount on all repairs and 10% off parts. Over the life of your system, these savings add up fast — especially on bigger jobs.
Warranty Validation
Most manufacturer warranties require proof of regular maintenance by a certified HVAC contractor. A PHD plan keeps your warranty intact so you're covered if something major happens.

What's Included in Every Visit

Each PHD service visit is a thorough inspection — not a quick once-over. Our technicians go through your entire system so nothing gets missed.

2 Pre-Season Visits Per Year
Spring AC checkup before summer heat hits, and a fall heating checkup before winter arrives. We schedule around your calendar.
Full System Inspection
Complete check of all components — compressor, condenser coil, evaporator coil, blower motor, capacitors, contactors, and safety controls.
Filter Changes
Dirty filters are the number one cause of HVAC problems. We swap them out at every visit so your system breathes easy.
Drain Line Cleaning
Clogged drain lines cause water damage and mold. We clear them out to prevent backups and keep humidity under control.
Refrigerant & Electrical Check
We verify refrigerant levels, tighten electrical connections, and test all circuits. Loose wires and low charge are problems you want caught early.
Thermostat Calibration
An inaccurate thermostat wastes energy and makes your home uncomfortable. We calibrate it so your system runs when it should and shuts off when it shouldn't.
Priority Service & Discounts
24/7 priority scheduling, 15% off repairs, and 10% off parts — for the life of your plan.

The Math Works

Some people wonder if a maintenance plan is worth it. Let's look at the numbers.

A single HVAC tune-up typically costs $85-$150 per visit. With two visits a year, you're looking at $170-$300 annually just for tune-ups — and that's without any discounts on repairs or parts. A 1-year PHD plan at $147 covers both visits and gives you 15% off repairs and 10% off parts on top of it.

Then there's the energy savings. The U.S. Department of Energy says a well-maintained system uses up to 10% less energy than a neglected one. On a typical Georgia cooling bill, that's real money back in your pocket every single month.

Regular maintenance also extends your system's lifespan by years. A well-maintained HVAC system can last 15-20 years. A neglected one might give out at 8-10. That's thousands of dollars in replacement costs you can push off or avoid entirely.

And then there's the cost you can't put a number on — avoiding an emergency breakdown in the middle of a Georgia summer. Emergency repairs cost more, take longer, and always happen at the worst possible time. A PHD plan helps you avoid that scenario altogether.

Frequently Asked Questions

A preventive HVAC service agreement gives you priority service including nights, weekends, and holidays. Regular maintenance keeps your system running efficiently, and our technicians pinpoint problems before they turn into expensive failures. It's the best way to protect your investment and avoid emergency breakdowns.

Preventive maintenance can save you up to 10% on energy bills and helps prevent unexpected breakdowns. Most extended warranties require service by a certified HVAC contractor to remain valid. A maintenance plan ensures your system stays covered and running at peak performance.

Yes. A PHD plan is cheaper than paying for separate tune-ups individually. Your rate is guaranteed for life, you get a 15% discount on repairs, a 10% discount on parts, and you can save up to 10% on energy costs. The plan pays for itself.

Absolutely. About half of our customers have multiple systems. Our PHD plans cover multiple systems, including packaged rooftop units. We offer discounted additional system pricing on every plan tier. Call us at (770) 923-2427 and we'll put together a custom plan that covers everything.

Each visit includes a full system inspection, filter changes, drain line cleaning, refrigerant level check, electrical connections check, and thermostat calibration. We go through the entire system so nothing gets missed.

At minimum, once a year. Ideally twice: once in the spring to prepare your AC for summer, and once in the fall to prepare your heating system for winter. Our PHD plans include both visits automatically, so you never have to remember to schedule.
